A strawberry feast
STRAWBERRY lovers will have a field day at the St John’s Anglican Church ‘Strawberry Fete’ this weekend.
To be held this Sunday at the Port Fairy church between 10am and 2pm, the day will provide entertainment for all ages.
The fete has been running on the last Sunday in November for almost 100 years and despite having a reduced number of volunteers this year, the 2023 event again looks set to be a fun-filled one.
Included on the day’s program is a range of children’s activities, old-fashioned games, a pet parade, music, great spinning wheel prizes, a bumper raffle and, most importantly, fresh strawberries and cream.
A Devonshire morning tea and a barbecue at lunch-time will keep hungry visitors satisfied.
