Calling for all young creatives
YOUNG people with a creative flair are invited to show off their creations during the annual Port Fairy Winter Weekends Festival.
The Young Makers Market will showcase talented young people during the first weekend of the popular festival – held over the King’s Birthday long weekend.
Moyne Shire Council deputy mayor Cr Daniel Meade said the market would provide an opportunity for young creatives to share their talents to an audience of locals and visitors.
“We have some incredibly talented young people in Moyne and the Young Makers Market will be a great way for them to show off their skills and talents on a weekend when there are a large number of visitors in the region,” Cr Meade said.
“We’re looking for a range of stallholders to showcase their goods be it handmade gifts, arts or crafts, repurposed clothing, textiles, homegrown plants, veggies or herbs.
“So if you have a creative side hustle, get in touch and book a spot at the market and get some fantastic exposure for your skills and talents and make a bit of money as well.”
The market will be held at the Port Fairy Sea Scouts Hall in Bank Street on Saturday June 10, during the Port Fairy Winter Weekends Festival. Stallholder applications are now open and will close on May 14, 2023.
