Captain leads Dennington to victory
DENNINGTON captain Mick Howley led from the front in his side’s division three premiership win last weekend.

Howley, who showed great form with both the bat and ball, was named Player of the Match in Saturday’s grand final victory over Port Fairy.
Howley contributed an impressive 65 runs from 87 deliveries in an innings that included three boundaries and two sixes, and then went on to take a match-winning 5/35 from his eight overs.
Having won the toss and elected to bat first, Dennington reached 7/181, with middle-order batsman Jonathon Malone contributing a quick-fired 46 from 45 deliveries (including seven boundaries).
Port Fairy’s Zac Arnott led the wickets, taking 4/36 from his eight overs, while Lewis Carmichael finished with figures of 2/38.
In reply, the Pirates were 10/119 in the 34th over, with Radush Mohan top scoring for the side with 51 from 66 balls (including three boundaries and a six).
Along with Howely, other wicket takers were Brad Coleman 2/16, Jordan Garner 1/8 and Pete Shepherd 1/21.
