Car enthusiasts flock to Port

PORT Fairy was a car lovers’ haven last weekend.

Visitors once again flocked to the seaside town, eager to catch a glimpse of a range of immaculately-kept vehicles for the annual Rod Run and Car Show and Shine.

Large crowds spent the day wondering among the vehicles on display and several awards were presented during the afternoon.

Award winners included the following:

Club choice: Daryl Pritchett.

Poker run: Gol Wallace.

Rod height: Greg Mourisy.

Ladies’ choice: Danny Wilson.

Top five award winners: Max Baker, Ian Vaughan, Jeff Healey, Andy McHenry.

Lucky draw: Victor Osborn.

One of the event highlights included the presentation of a life membership to Ian ‘Bronc’ Johnson.
