Christmas appeal underway
SOUTH West Healthcare has launched its Christmas appeal.
The health service is hoping local residents will dig deep and give what they can, with all proceeds from the sale of raffle tickets going towards the purchase of a much-needed assisted CPR machine.
“We need to raise around $34,000 for this machine, which will be used right across the hospital and also, if needed, at the cancer centre across the road,” South West Healthcare’s community partnerships manager Suzan Morey said.
“So far we already have almost $18,000 thanks to a recent (and very generous) donation of $16,000 from the Woolsthorpe Auxiliary.
“This piece of medical equipment will help save the lives of sudden cardiac arrest patients.”
The prize in the Christmas raffle is two electric ride-on jeeps, which will no doubt bring plenty of fun and excitement to the lucky winner – just in time for Christmas.
There are just 1,380 tickets available in the draw, which will be announced on December 18.
