A packed house gathered at the club’s social rooms at Reid Oval to enjoy a special evening of reminiscing.

Along with the re-naming of the rooms to the Ian Lefty Wright Social Rooms, another highlight of the evening was the awarding of a life membership to Geoff Anderson.

Geoff was a worthy recipient of the award having played in five premierships for the club (captaining one of the teams) and contributing both on and off the field.

During his 130 A grade matches, Geoff has taken 48 wickets and made just over 4,000 runs.

The club has enjoyed 80 successive years of cricket since its first game against the Woollen Mill on October 21, 1944.

It currently fields four senior men’s teams, a senior women’s team, seven junior sides and a Woolworths Blasters program.
