Country Week teams announced
THE Western District Match Committee has announced its men’s and women’s golf sides for this year’s Country Week event.
The men’s team will contest the plate division (division two) competition, with rounds at Clifton Springs Golf Club next Monday (September 30), Curlewis Golf Club on Tuesday and The Sands Torquay on Wednesday.
The team comprises the following players:
Jack Kerr, Lachlan Walker and Daniel Oakley (Warrnambool); Hamish Huffadine (Timboon); Jayden McLeod (Heywood); Fred Beasley and George Beasley (Terang) and Julian Gollasch (Portland).
The women’s team will compete in the division one competition with rounds at The Sands Torquay next Monday, 13th Beach Golf Club on Tuesday and Portarlington Golf Club on Wednesday.
The team comprises:
Dionne Goyen, Alison Sinclair and Lauren Higgins (Warrnambool); Elle Zeunert and Sandy Stewart (Portland); Molly O’Brien and Sue Walter (Hamilton); Donna Weller and Donna Conheady (Timboon); and Ros Brauer (Camperdown).
Country Week managers are Peter Roughana (men’s team) and Sue Rea (women’s team).
