Detox Your Home

RESIDENTS across the Warrnambool district will have the chance to ‘detox’ their homes early next month.

Warrnambool City Council is offering residents the opportunity to dispose of a wide range of household chemicals for free.

‘Detox Your Home’ is coming to the site of the former Warrnambool saleyards on Saturday March 4.

For your chance to take up this annual offer, simply head to the council website and follow the links to register.

While a range of household items will be accepted for disposal, there is a selection of items not accepted.

This includes asbestos, ammunition, car batteries, chemicals used on-farm, gas cylinders, printer cartridges, pharmaceuticals, medical waste, turps, paint strippers and more.
