This weekend will see a team manager and six breast cancer survivor paddlers from the club travel to Hobart to take part in the ‘Pink Power Paddle.’

This regatta, hosted by Dragons Abreast Hobart, will also be supported by Dragons Abreast Australia (and Tasmania).

The theme for the event will be ‘pink and sparkly’ which will help raise awareness of breast cancer research.

Once breast cancer treatment has been completed, dragon boat training can help people with mental health, general well-being and exercise in an inclusive environment.

The South C Dragons will also be well represented in Ballarat this weekend, with crews heading to Lake Wendouree to compete in the Dragon Boat Victoria regatta.

This will be a test of stamina for the crews, who compete not only in the usual 200 metre races but also one kilometre events.
