East Coast Clash tournament
WARRNAMBOOL Roller Derby League stars The Mad Splatter, Monk and Quiet Riot headed to Melbourne to compete as part of Team Regional Victoria (TRV) team last weekend.
The East Coast Clash Roller Derby Tournament showcased both division one and two derby teams from across Victoria, South Australia, Queensland and Western Australia.
The Mad Splatter, Monk and Quiet Riot were part of TRV which played against Rockabellas Roller Derby League in the first game.
While the Rockabellas were victorious scoring 315 against TRV 43, Quiet Riot showed some really strong technique and picked up the team award for TRV.
The second game for TRV was against East Vic Roller Derby.
Although East Vic displayed excellent skills and game play, TRV found their groove and got some good blocks in and racked up a few penalties.
Final scores were TRV 74 going down to East Vic 257.
Excitingly, Warrnambool Roller Derby League players Quiet Riot and Monk took home MVP jammer and blocker for the game.
