Eccles wins at East Fram

WITH a score of 36, Gerard Eccles won last week’s mens’ scratch event and took out the men’s longest drive at East Framlingham Golf Club.

The men’s handicap went to Pat Bourke 47-16.5-30.15 while the scratch handicap went to Blake Johnston on 43.

The men’s non-handicap was won by M. McLinn on 48-13.5-34.5.

In the ladies’ competition, Julie Kenna finished the day on 48 to win the scratch event, while Louise Cameron took out the ladies’ handicap and also had the longest drive.

In the junior under 16s handicap, Liam Kenna won the day with 49-13.5-35.5 while Hugh Kenna finished on 50 to win scratch.

Nearest the pins: 1st Leigh Marris, 2nd Willis Johnston, 3rd Peter Smith, 4th Louise Cameron, 5th Gerard Eccles, 6th Andy Brown, 7th Ian Brown, 8th Matt Cameron and 9th Tom Kenna.

The raffle winner was Pat Bourke.

Seventy-eight players enjoyed the day.
