Elderly couple injured
AN elderly couple was transported to hospital following a crash in Panmure earlier this week.
The incident occurred shortly before 8pm Monday on the Princes Highway.
Warrnambool Police Constable Daniel Lewis said two people, aged in their mid-70s, were hospitalised following the single vehicle incident.
“One was taken to Warrnambool hospital, and the other was airlifted to Melbourne,” he said.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said the couple was conveyed to hospital in a stable condition.
“Paramedics responded to an incident in Panmure at around 7.45pm on Monday evening,” the spokesperson said.
“A male in his 70s was airlifted to The Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition with upper body injuries.
“A female in her 70s was transported by road to Warrnambool in a stable condition with upper body injuries.”
