By Staff Writer

The fundraising family variety concert will take place at the hall, on Koroit-Port Fairy Road, from 7.30pm tonight (with meals from 6.30pm).

Once again the evening will feature seven great acts.

Tonight audiences will be entertained by Goodear Weise and Free – a tribute to Leonard Cohen (Canadian singer, songwriter and poet) with vocals, guitar, cello and keyboard.

Sarah Lim, a member of the musical Lim family from Woodford, will sing and play the flute.

The Emu Creek Dirt Band, comprising Tony Diamond, Bill McNeill and guests, will perform gospel, blues, folk, swig, rock, jazz and originals.

Cal and Shane, a Ballarat duo with a country feel, will showcase sweet harmonies.

After a short interval, folk ballad singer/songwriter and guitarist Don Cowling will continue the entertainment.

He will be followed by ‘Blue Tango’ an acoustic duo featuring finger-style guitar, harmony vocals and jazz-flavoured classic pop songs – plus comic parodies.

Also on the night’s program is ‘The Reformers’ – starting with the lyrics of Henry Lawson before adding some great celtic tunes, multi-media and musicians

Doors will open at 6pm tonight with a small admission charge for adults.

Children 12 years and under will be admitted free.

Thanks to the Friends of St Brigid’s catering team a delicious meal will be available for purchase.

BYO drinks and glasses.

All proceeds from the event will go towards community ownership of St Brigid’s.
