Residents and visitors young and old got into the festive spirit throughout the evening, with music, dancing, face painting, jewellery making and biscuit decorating on the program.

Children danced on the lawn while carols were sung from the stage, with many in the crowd opting for Christmas-themed outfits to add to the festive atmosphere.

Minister Ben Johnson was emcee for the evening and said he was thrilled with the size of the crowd that gathered.

“The weather was perfect, the crowd was amazing and the performers were even more so,” he said.

“We had a wonderful mix of musicians, vocalists and dancers throughout the night and from all accounts everyone had a good time.

“The Holiday Actors, students from Kings College, Hope Studio Dancers and The Commissioners (a Melbourne-based A Capella band) were just some of the performers who entertained the crowd. We thank everyone who participated and attended.”
