From the Editor
Welcome to the very first edition of the Warrnambool Weekly – the fifth publication in the Western District Newspapers’ stable.

Our reputation over the past 150 years, through our existing four publications (the Cobden Timboon Coast Times, Terang Express, Mortlake Dispatch and Camperdown Chronicle) is highly creditable and we take great pride in our work and each of the publications we produce.
The Warrnambool Weekly will be no exception. The ‘Weekly’ will be jam-packed with local news, community events, milestones, achievements, sporting results and ‘all things local’ that make the western district the thriving and welcoming community that it is.
We will bring you the news as it happens, both in print and in digital format. The choice is yours – and both options are FREE.
Our coverage will ensure our readers and advertisers are kept up-to-date with current affairs and promotions.
A local paper should be exactly that – local. Our staff are local residents who are embedded within their communities through various sporting clubs and service organisations.
Along with its four sister publications, the ‘Weekly’ will be produced and printed from our head office in Camperdown. We welcome and encourage community input and feedback.
This is YOUR local paper and your opportunity for your voice to be heard.Stewart Esh Managing Director / Editor
