Grenfell wins at East Fram
THE fourth and final round of the ladies’ championships/monthly medal was contested at the East Framlingham Golf Club last Tuesday.
Twenty-seven players competed on the day, with Anne Grenfell 89-24-65 winning A grade from Jo Porter 91-23-68.
B grade was won by Maria O’Rourke 99-30-69 on countback from runner-up Lyn Cook 101-32-69.
C grade was won by Marg Patterson 116-40-76 on countback from Jane Fitzgibbon 121-45-76.
Nearest the pins: A grade – 2nd shot 4th/13th Julie Kenna; B grade – 3rd shot 9th/18th Sue Cassidy; C grade – 2nd shot 7th/16th Wendy Batten.
The monthly medal winner was Anne Grenfell.
The championship winners were Sue Henderson (A grade), Robyn McLeod (B grade) and Pauline Armstrong (C grade).
Next week will be 4BBB stableford for the Royal Women’s Hospital.
