FANCY sandwiches, tasty scones and other treats were the order of the day at a very special high-tea for the Crystal Lee Foundation late last month.

Around 90 guests were treated to an afternoon of fine dining, entertainment and conversation for the fundraising event, held at the Wharf Restaurant in Port Fairy on Sunday, October 22.

“Our foundation’s high tea was a sell-out which was fantastic; around 90 people enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea and were entertained by local musician Zoe Borthwick,” Julienne Clifford, executive officer with the Crystal Lee Foundation said.

“Volcano Produce, Mosswood Wildlife and Friends of St Brigid’s all shared their stories and attendees each received an information pack with fliers and brochures from more than a dozen community groups or enterprises.

“The focus was very much on looking locally for inspiration, for when you need support, and also if you have support to offer in terms of time or funds.”

The annual raffle was drawn, along with several lucky door prizes.

“We’re very grateful to all those who attended, along with those who purchased raffle tickets, and our special guests on the day for their enthusiastic contributions,” Ms Clifford said.
