Jewell wins at East Fram
WITH a score of 35, Matt Jewell took out the men’s scratch event at the East Framlingham golf course last week.
The Wednesday comp-etition continues to attract good numbers for the twilight competition.
Other winners last week included Anthony Eccles (men’s handicap) 47-17-31 and Rhys Raymond (men’s scratch handicap) 43.
The men’s non-handicap event went to Peter Smith 50-16-34 and Barry Suhan 50-16-34.
Sue Cassidy finished on 54 to take the ladies’ scratch while Pauline Armstrong won the handicap with 56-20-36.
The men’s longest drive went to Padddy Scanlon while for the ladies, it was won by Julie Mahony.
Liam Kenna took out the junior under 16s handicap with 62-20-42 and Hugh Kenna (59) won the scratch.
Nearest the pins: 1st K. Johnston, 2nd Tom Kenna (eagle), 3rd Ross Corbett, 4th Mark Clissold, 5th Tom Kenna, 6th Rob Field, 7th James McLeod, 8th Craig Lee and 9th Ben Lee.
Tom Suhan took home the raffle prize.
