LAST weekend’s Warrnambool Seaside Volleyball Tournament once again provided plenty of action.
Warrnambool Volleyball Association president Tanya Hughes said the seaside tournament this year celebrated its 50th anniversary.
What began in 1975 with 15 teams, this year had more than 90 teams entered - with some travelling from as far afield as South Australia, Tasmania and regional Victoria.
Results were as follows:
Men’s Honours – BBJSC Pakenham def Aus U20 Gold (most valuable player Dylan Luchessi).
Women’s Honours – Dandenong def Yarra Rangers (MVP Zoe Fischer).
Men’s division one – NOBs def La Trobe (MVP Lucas Mark-Seymour).
Women’s division one – La Trobe def POF (MVP Miah Roffey).
Men’s division two – Sochimpos def South Adelaine (MVP Kotaro Toniguchi).
Women’s division two – Bellarine Babes def Smack That (MVP Sienna Purcell-Mailata).
Men’s division three – Barbies def Strive (MVP Arman Normandia).
