Hosted by Team Regional Victoria (TRV), the event was held at the Gippsland Regional Sports Complex in Sale and attracted some of the state’s best skaters.

Monk and The Mad Splatter were part of TRV which played against South Sea Roller Derby’s Banshees side.

While the Banshees were victorious scoring 259 against TRVs 93, TRV showed some really strong techniques both in blocking and jamming.

The Mad Splatter scored 23 points and finished equal top two scoring jammer of the round while Monk picked up the team’s most voted MVP blocker for the 2023 season.

Excitingly, Warrnambool Roller Derby League coach, Monk, has been selected to take on the role of vice-captain, leading Team Regional Victoria into the next season alongside Kick (captain) from the Mildura Roller Derby League.

The next round will be played in Geelong on August 26.
