Lunch treat for visiting motorists
MORE than 80 members of the Classic Triumph Car Group enjoyed a stop-over in Port Fairy last week.
The Lions Club of Port Fairy-Belfast were happy to cater for the group, providing the drivers and their partners with tasty lunch boxes which were enjoyed while resting in the community theatre.
The food for the boxes was provided by a tireless group of Lions and partners who worked from early morning to prepare the meal.
As with all Lions fundraising efforts, all profits will go towards Lions club community and humanitarian activities.
The new barbecue facility at the railway precinct in Koroit is now operational and the surrounds look fantastic.
What a tremendous effort by Koroit Lions with their playground, fitness track and picnic areas which have resulted in the railway precinct becoming very popular with both locals and visitors.
It is also a great stop-over for walkers and cyclists using the Port Fairy to Warrnambool rail trail.
Tonight (Friday, November 3) Warrnambool Lions Club will host its very popular and fun-filled trivia evening at St Pius.
The club has been busy recently, providing breakfast for the Lions Heart Ride participants, assisting with the operation of the Lions Skin Care caravan (and as far away as Edenhope and Harrow) a peace poster display at the old camera house and participation at the recent Volunteers Expo.
Their Lions Christmas cake display and sales will soon commence at Kmart so why not stop by and say hi to the team, and learn more about your Lions club?
