Medals for Dragons at state regatta

MEMBERS of Warrnambool’s South C Dragons have brought home medals from last weekend’s Dragon Boat Victoria State Championships.

At the invitation of Dragons Abreast Australia, five members from Warrnambool formed a composite crew with DA Geelong and a member from a Mildura club.

The women brought home bronze and silver medals in the BCS 200 metre and BCS 500 metre races respectively.

Perfect weather made for ideal race conditions on Maribyrnong’s Edgewater Lake.

Last weekend’s event attracted crews of 20 and 10 from all around the state.
