Merrivale remains undefeated
MERRIVALE continues to dominate the Warrnambool and District football league.

The Tigers, sitting undefeated on top of the table, were comfortable 94-point victors over the fifth-placed Russells Creek last weekend.
After just three points separated the two sides at the end of the first quarter, the Tigers made good use of the ball in the second and went into the main break with a handy 18-point lead.
Restricting Russells Creek’s scoring opportunities to just one behind in the second half, the Tigers went on to add a further 12 majors to the board to come home victors by 94-points.
Final scores were Merrivale 19.14.128 to Russells Creek 5.4.34 Best players for the Tigers were Eli Barker, Jayden Brooks, Manny Sandow, Tyler Stephens, Billy Hanocks and Matt Hausler while for Russells Creek, Dylan Burns, Logan McLeod, Troy Lovett, Taylem Wason, Seamus Brady and Jyah Chatfield were maned best.
Dylan Weir booted five for the Tigers, while Jayden Brooks added four, Manny Sandow (3) and one each from Sam Bleeson, Billy Hancocks, Jack Neave, Jalen Porten, Tate Porter, Colby Rix and JyeWilson.
Goal kickers for Russells Creek were Tyran Boyle, Patrick Brady, Seamus Brady, Kyle Ryan and Thomas Smith.
In other Warrnambool District games last weekend, Dennington were seven point winners over South Rovers, Panmure defeated Timboon, Nirranda were big winners over Old Collegians and Kolora Noorat defeated Allansford by 71 points.
Round 10 (tomorrow) will see Timboon host Dennington, Russells Creek take on South Rovers, Kolora Noorat will host Merrivale, Old Collegians will take on Allansford and Nirranda will travel to Panmure to face the Bulldogs.
