Nestles re-signs Chathuranga
TALENTED all-rounder Sanjaya “Sunny” Chathuranga has re-signed with the Nestles Cricket Club until 2025.
The club was thrilled to announce the resigning on Easter Monday.
Sunny’s cricket background is an extensive one, having played in multiple countries in various formats.
Last season Sunny made 268 runs and took 36 wickets for Nestles, and played a pivotal role in the club’s success both on and off the field.
Sunny was thrilled to became a Nestles Warrnambool and District premiership and T20 premiership player.
“We’re excited to welcome Sunny and his wife Chandi back to the club for the 2023/24 season,” club president Gary MacLean said.
“We are ecstatic with Sunny signing on as he brings a lot of experience to our club.
“He’s a perfect fit with his all-round abilities with both bat and ball and will be looking at more junior and senior coaching from Sunny into the future.”
