O’Connor milestone
DEDICATED South Warrnambool netballer Ally O’Connor will take to the courts for her 100th senior game this weekend.
O’Connor joined the senior ranks in 2014 at the age of 14 and quickly established herself as a formidable force on the court alongside her talented sister, Gen.
Her debut marked the beginning of an incredible journey, playing all her games in the senior division.
Despite juggling study and high performance netball while in Geelong, she also earned a spot on the state netball team and in the Super Netball (SSN) squad.
Within the Hampden League O’Connor has won a premiership, league best and fairest awards and club honours and was recently a member of the winning Hampden senior interleague team.
Along with team-mates and opponents, O’Connor is also well known among umpires for her commitment to the game while also displaying sportsmanship and resilience.
A true role model at the Roosters, O’Connor continues to show that with passion and hard work outstanding achievements are possible.
