Perfect weather for school athletics
PERFECT weather and lots of families supporting students made for the perfect day at last week’s athletics sports carnival for Warrnambool West Primary School.
Isaac Mallen, Seth Metcalfe, Kevin Nguyen and Xion Enriquez were proud of the ribbons they won.
Physical education specialist and event organiser Heath Hackett praised all students for their efforts on the day and thanked parents for their support.
“The student engagement was amazing; everyone had loads of fun and all supported each other which was great to see,” Mr Hackett said.
Around 20 students will now go on to represent the school at the upcoming district sports, to be held at on March 25.
The day concluded with a fun parent/staff/student relay.
Gold House (Weelan) finished the day on top of the points board after the seven events.
