Wannon MP Dan Tehan last week announced funds would be allocated for player shelters for female teams at Warrnambool Football Netball Club.

During a visit to the club last Friday, Mr Tehan said an elected Liberal and National Government would provide safe, modern player shelters for women’s teams at the Warrnambool Football Netball Club.

“These shelters would support local female athletes and strengthen community sport,” Mr Tehan said.

“Female players and supporters need access to inclusive and upgraded facilities. I’ve heard strong feedback from the local community about the need for better facilities for women and girls in sport.

“This investment in player shelters for women’s teams here at this club will provide a safe and comfortable space for female players, volunteers and supporters.”

Mr Tehan thanked the local community for advocating for these shelters, ensuring the local women’s teams had the facilities they deserved.
