Pop-up studio for under 25s
MOYNE Shire is on the lookout for young emerging artists wanting to advance their music careers.
The free ‘Moyne Sessions Pop-Up Recording Studio’ and song writing workshops program will work with young artists aged 25 years and under in the recording, production and promotion of their original music.
Each pop-up artist will receive a professionally produced track (s), a video clip of one song, as well as a songwriting intensive and song-polishing workshop.
Artists recording their original music will also receive written feedback from Universal Music Group Australia and participants will be mentored by acclaimed songwriter and producer Cameron Deyell, best known for working with Sia on her Grammy-nominated platinum-selling album ‘This is Acting’.
Moyne Shire mayor Cr Ian Smith said the program is a great opportunity for seasoned musicians or those just starting out.
“Cameron brings his experience and expertise to teaching the fundamentals of writing songs that connect, and polishing songs to be ready for recording,” he said.
“If you have songs that are ready to go, this program is for you.”
Applications close on Monday, January 8, 2024 and sessions will run between January 22-28.
Details and application forms can be found at www.moyne.vic.gov.au/Pop-Up.
The program is funded through the Victorian Government FReeZA program.
