Throughout this week the plaza is home to a very special exhibition from Museums Victoria.

Offering something new and exciting each day – with activities ranging from colouring and making Triceratops masks through to learning about oceans, shells, sharks and ancient marine animals that lived millions years ago – this display is one not to be missed.

Today (Friday) visitors can look at an Australian animal taxidermy collection and make their own knob-tailed gecko climber to take home.

Museums Victoria outreach learning facilitator Josh Wilson-Douglas said he and his team were thrilled with the number of visitors to the interactive display.

Speaking to the Warrnambool Weekly on Monday afternoon, Mr Wilson-Douglas said visitor numbers had already exceeded expectations.

“We’ve already had 350 people come through this morning and the line-up continues,” he said.

“It’s certainly bigger than we anticipated which is great; the children (and adults) are asking lots of questions and really enjoying the activities we have on offer.”

And for those looking for some fun and colour, make sure you head to Gateway Plaza next week to take part in a face painting workshop.

These will be held next Tuesday and Wednesday, September 26 and 27.

The Colour Angel will hold two sessions daily, however bookings are essential and can be made by emailing info.gatewayplaza@cbre.com.
