Students head to Cattery
TWENTY students from Warrnambool West Primary School headed to the Cattery in Geelong last weekend for an up-close encounter with the AFL.
The students were given an opportunity to pull on their boots and run on to the GMHBA Stadium ground during half-time of the Cats versus Greater Western Sydney match on Saturday.
For several students, this was the first time they had watched an AFL match. The school is grateful for the support of Shane Bell,
Aboriginal Community Development Broker/First Peoples State Relations Group who was instrumental in obtaining tickets and funding for the bus.
He was magnificent in supporting the school in obtaining the tickets and funding for the bus.
We cannot thank him enough for setting us up and maintaining constant contact and encouragement. A thank you also goes to the teachers who attended on the day.
