Tapestry on display
WORKS by local tapestry artist Mary O’Brien are currently on display in a special exhibition in Crossley.
‘Here We Go Together’ is a retrospective exhibition of pieces created by Mary between 1984 and 2011 and represent pivotal moments and valued people throughout her life.
The exhibition is currently being held at St Brigid’s Hall, Crossley.
Mary has been heavily involved in supporting the Friends of St Brigid’s and continues to do so in representation of her life partner Jerry O’Brien.
Crossley Hall has deep significance for Mary and her family and when the idea was proposed to create an exhibition, Mary was adamant it be held at the venue.
“It is a true honour to have the opportunity to display my journey as an artist in the land I call home,” Mary said.
“I thank all those involved and invite all community members to attend.”
The exhibit will run until this Sunday, January 28, and is open daily from 10am-4pm.
All donations will be forwarded to the Friends of St Brigid’s.
