Turn your ideas into reality
DO you have an exciting business idea but need a little help to get it off the ground?
Moyne Shire Council has partnered with ‘The Ideas Place’ for an exciting opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators to bring their ideas to life with ‘The Ideas Place’ Boot Camp.
This three-week, one-on-one boot camp program aims to connect and empower diverse communities in the Great South Coast region by fostering innovative business ideas to build social, economic, and environmental prosperity.
If you have an idea that needs funding and support to get off the ground, or you have been working on something and just need more investment to scale, then The Ideas Place Boot Camp is for you. The boot camp is designed to provide participants with hands-on knowledge in their chosen industry with mentorship on a range of topics.
Topics to be discussed will include defining customers, marketing, sourcing, operations, people, OH&S, and management.
Through the boot camp, participants will refine their ideas and prototype, ready for the pitch event where they will have the opportunity to pitch in front of local businesses, possible investors and win $10,000, $5000 or $3000 towards their business idea.
Mayor Karen Foster said she looked forward to seeing what initiatives come from the program.
“This is a fantastic program which helps turn dreams into reality,” Cr Foster said.
“It’s so exciting to think the next big thing could be right here in our backyard and I’m looking forward to hearing what ideas are put forward.”
The Ideas Place is funded by LaunchVic and is a joint initiative of Warrnambool City Council, South West TAFE, Corangamite Shire Council and Moyne Shire Council.
Registrations are now open and will close on Monday, May 29 at 9.00am.
