Walk 4 A Cure returns
ORGANISERS are hoping to see a mass of green across the Lady Bay Resort car park on Sunday, February 16 when the ‘Walk 4 A Cure’ returns.

The Gillin Boys Foundation event is hoped to once again attract a large number of entrants.
“The more funds we can raise, the quicker we can find a cure,” organiser Christopher Gillin said.
The walk, which will start at 10am from the Lady Bay Resort car park, will move along the footpath to the Surf Club, along the beach track to the pavilion before returning to the car park.
“It’s a casual walk and people of all ages and abilities are most welcome to join us,” Christopher said.
“Entry is just $15, with children under the age of 12 free of charge.
“We’re encouraging all participants to wear a touch of green to help us create a sea of green to spread awareness of our Fight For A Cure as we walk as a group.”
At the conclusion of the walk there will be a sausage sizzle, with water also available.
“Bean Cruizin will also be there to accommodate coffee lovers and Gillin Boys Foundation merchandise will be available for purchase.”
All money raised on the day will be donated to the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute to help fund its research into Duchenne.
“We will be in the Lady Bay Resort car park from 9.15am for registration, with the walk to start at 10am,” Christopher said.
“All those who preregister are encouraged to come over to our table and get their names marked off the list so we know they’ve arrived.”
